William Smart, father of murder victim, dies at 68
William J. Smart, the dignified patriarch of a family thrust into an international media frenzy over the murder of his son, Greggory, died Wednesday morning at the age of 68. William Smart died at his Nashua home with his wife, Renee, by his side, said his step-daughter, Stacie Street. He died of pancreatic cancer, she said.
